She got the news the Tuesday before Thanksgiving 2008. She didn’t expect the results she got from her open lung biopsy – 15 tumors on her right lung alone. She was told she had four months to live.

29 rounds of chemotherapy took a toll on her body. She explained that she didn’t see herself as the kind of person to sue somebody, until she realized that companies knew asbestos caused cancer and exposed people to it anyway.
