Mesothelioma is a form of cancer that sees malignant cancerous cells found in the mesothelium – The protective shell (sac) that covers much of our internal organs. When the cells of the mesothelium start to become abnormal and split, or divide, disrupting the function of this protective membrane. Once this happens they can spread and damage other organs and tissues. This is what makes this rare form of cancer so dangerous.

This means that many people who are laborers or trade workers are more susceptible to getting mesothelioma. This is promising to get our teachers and schools the money that is needed to get children prepared for things of this caliber.
3. How Common is This Form of Cancer?
Cancer of the mesothelium has gone up in the last 20 years or so however, this is still classified as a rare form of the disease. There are reportedly 2,000 cases a year in the United States and can occur in both men and women. This risk increases as you age and does appear to be more apparent in men.
